The property is currently owned by Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. In 2009, the facility added slot machines and slowly grew over the years to become one of the largest and most successful casinos. Parx Casino & Racing opened its doors in December 1974 as Keystone Racetrack and then Philadelphia Park, a thoroughbred horse racing track.
